what is...
endodontics?

Endodontics, commonly known as root canal treatment, is often one of the eventual ways to heal an infection-damaged tooth pulp.

For many patients, such treatment with a microscope is not only a chance to get rid of the cause of severe pain, but allows to leave the tooth without having to extract it.

The prices in the price list refer to the situation in which the tooth, after the root canal treatment, is closed without a crown.

how does
microscopic endodontics work?

Root canal treatment (endodontic) involves thorough removal of infected nerve tissue (pulp) from inside the tooth. Its removal is extremely important for the patient’s comfort, because the diseased pulp is a source of penetrating pain, which can significantly hinder everyday life.

The treatment itself begins with the use of local anaesthesia, which makes the patient feel no pain. Then the crown of the tooth is opened and the root canal reached.

The dentist will then remove all infected tissue from the inside, after which it will be disinfected and dried. The tooth prepared in such a way will be able to be filled with gutta-percha, thanks to which the canal will be isolated from the influence of bacteria and other harmful factors.

The material used to protect the tooth is completely biocompatible, which eliminates the risk of an allergic reaction.

Microscope in endodontics allows to achieve previously impossible results. This tool significantly increases the treatment area and allows the dentist to locate all dental canals (even the most non-standard and extremely curved).

Endodontic treatment is recommended by dentists in:

  • Irreversible tooth pulp infections
  • Fracture or damage to the tooth in which the pulp is exposed
  • Necrosis or pulp gangrene
  • Incorrect root canal cleaning during previous root canal treatments
The precision of the actions taken by our dentists is significantly increased, which enhances the chance of effective treatment!

repeated
root canal treatment

Repeated root canal treatment is nothing but a re-performed endodontic procedure.

Despite the fact that our dentists carry out this treatment with precision and accuracy, there is always a risk of failure. Patients notice that after the end of root canal treatment, pain appears within days, weeks or months … despite the fact that there is no pulp.

Do not underestimate the pain and do not delay treatment!

Repeat root canal treatment is recommended if:

  • Unusual dental canals have not been properly cleaned
  • Tooth root was perforated
  • The tooth crown was damaged as a result of trauma, which led to the appearance of a bacterial infection
  • Broken and unremoved dental instruments have been left inside the tooth
